Creating Better Outcomes for Black and Brown Trans people.

Who We Are

Black Trans Leadership Austin(BTLA) is a grassroots initiative that continuously strives to create better outcomes for Black transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender diverse people in and around Austin, Texas. The organization was founded in July of 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic. BTLA has identified systemic and economic issues affecting QTBIPOC communities across central Texas and works to give care, reparations, and support to our community through direct aid and community connection.
